AYN ODIN 2 Logo Contest

 

Calling all creative artists and enthusiasts! We are holding a contest to find the best logo/wallpapers and boot screen animation for the upcoming Odin 2.

 

And the best design will win an Odin 2 Max, with all accessories + free shipping. Submit all your entries by the 10th of October.

Criteria

  • Entries must be original and unpublished.
  • All entries must follow the rules listed in this form.
  • Any form of copyright infringement or plagiarism will result in an immediate disqualification.
  • The winner must follow the rules and submit native files for their artwork.

Entries

Your entry must contain the following:

  • Original Logo
  • Original Wallpaper design(s)

Or

  • Original Logo
  • Original Bootup Animation

 

Keep all native files for this piece. If you are chosen as a winner, we will ask for these files in order to redeem your reward. 

 

To learn what we are looking for each item, check the following guidelines:

Logotype - Required

(JPEG) Logo must be in line with AYN’s brand tone; it is not limited to form. Feel free to be as creative as you can, while also keeping a consistent look as the Odin 1 and Loki logos. Please submit your art as a JPEG file. If using color in your logo, please submit 2 variations in 1 JPEG (one in black/white, color).

Wallpapers - (Option 1)

You can make static or live wallpapers, you do not need to make both kinds:

 

For Static wallpapers

  • 5-7 designs using the logo designed by the contestant.
  • Size must be 1920x1080px (16:9)
  • JPEG
  • Tip: If you’re stuck making several wallpapers, you can make one design and make it into 5 different colours to match all 5 Odin 2 models:
    • Black
    • White
    • Cold Grey
    • Clear Blue
    • Clear Purple

 

For Live Wallpaper

  • One live wallpaper, created using Android Studio or as a loop video.
  • Entry must include 2 video links:
    • Video showing off the design in a screen capture video in an android device. If the live wallpaper is interactive, show how it behaves by swiping or interacting with it in the video. (10-30 seconds)
    • Video showing the design isolated. (15-30 seconds)
  • Please upload your video in your personal drives of choice (Google Drive, OneDrive,Dropbox, etc), and make sure the link can be accessed by people using the link.
  • Non working links will be disqualified.

Boot Animation - (Option 2)

(Video) Create a video animation for the bootup screen on the Odin 2. The entry is open to your imagination, but it must use the logo you designed for the entry. Duration should be between 10-15 seconds. Please submit a video link for this entry. You can use your personal drive of choice (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.). Non working links will be disqualified.

 

If the animation contains elements or assets that are not made by you, make sure they are in the public-domain and/or royalty-free. 

Deadline

You may begin submitting on 28 September 2023. The contest deadline is 10 October, 2023. 

Prizes

Winners will be notified via email by AYN, as well as on Discord and other social media.

There will be prizes for the Best Logo/Wallpapers and Best Logo/Bootup animation entries. These are the prizes for those two categories:

  • 1st Place: Free Odin 2 Max + All Accessories + Free shipping + Free Tax
    This grand prize will be given to the contestant with the best logo and wallpaper/logo design. All accessories include the TPU case, screen protector, carrying case, charger, and AYN Superdock 2.
  • 2nd Place: 50% off any Odin 2 model on IGG + free shipping + carrying case + screen protector
  • 3rd Place: $100 off any Odin 2 model on IGG + free shipping + carrying case + screen protector

How to submit

  • Please submit all requested files for the entry in this form
  • Include your email address in the form as your form of contact
  • Do not include any native files as of this moment
  • Any deviation from these rules could be the basis for disqualification.

Selecting Methods

Winner will be selected by the AYN team, in the following criteria:

  • Originality - We will pick the design with the most unique design
  • Branding - The design(s) must be in line with AYN’s brand tone and consistency
  • Consistency - The winner has followed all the rules listed above

 Terms and Conditions

  • Please note that once you submit an entry to this contest, you will be waiving your entry’s intellectual property. The copyright ownership for all the artwork in your entry will belong to AYN regardless if your entry is chosen as a winner or not.
  • Any entry that contains plagiarized works, incomplete, or could lead to copyright violation/infringement will result in an automatic disqualification.
  • If no entry follows the rules and guidelines listed here, there will be no winner and thus no prizes given away.
  • Rules and deadlines are subject to change if it’s needed.
  • AYN will contact winner(s) via email
    • Winner will be asked to submit native files. Please save your art in a ZIP file, shared via link (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
    • The ZIP file must have the following:
      • For the Logo:
        • Please save only as a vector file. Formats include Ai/SVG/EPS or a PDF file (enabled for illustrator)
        • Please include any fonts used for these art
      • For the Static Wallpaper:
        • If using raster art: PSDs (layers, not flat), or TIFF/PDF (layers on) only if cannot save as a PSD. Do not flatten art.
        • If using vector art: Ai/SVG/EPS or a PDF file (enabled for illustrator)
        • Please include any fonts used for these art
      • For the Live Wallpaper:
        • If you made a video loop, please include all design source files (including fonts and project files). After Effects or C4D preferred.
        • If you made it using Android Studio, package all source files and assets in a ZIP file.
      • For the Boot Animation:
        • Package all design source files (After Effects, C4D)
        • If any of your entries used stock material, fonts, or any linked content, please include it in this ZIP as well.
        • Remember: if the entry or files contain copyright infringing material or inappropriate content could be the basis for disqualification.
        • Failure to send the files within 48 hours of notification will result in disqualification.
  • Prizes will be sent once the Odin 2 starts shipping on Indiegogo. AYN Will be providing you with shipping information via email.
  • With the exception of the grand prize, please be aware that while the consolation prizes cover free shipping, is it the winner’s responsibility to cover any import tariffs & fees for their reward. To learn more, please contact your country’s customs office.
